The collection in UI Cultural Heritage Museum is unique in more than one way: the objects many of which are, largely, from Yoruba, Igbo and middle-belt of Nigeria were sourced from worship shrines. Masks and masquerades paraphernalia and totems indicating the different streaks of ancestral cults and other related cults; indigenous military war kit and weaponry. Besides the non-contemporary archival cultural objects, there are also some that belong to the contemporary history and historical objects. They include, photo history of the nation's premier University of Ibadan; its humble beginning as a distance learning center of the University of London, the University College , Ibadan till it became a full-fledged UI in 1962. Vividly captured in richly illustrative multimedia form are efforts made in the past and present administration of the university.
